Time for another edition of our popular Mixed Bag Mondays. I think it’s fitting that this is the 12th edition, dropping in the 12th month of 2012 so this will be the last Mixed Bag of the year and we’ll pick it up again in 2013.
For now, let’s see take a look at some notable releases of the last couple weeks.
Tony Grammz of Zambian outfit So’ Good Entertainment dropped his single Class of ’96. Promising stuff:
London-based Nigerian lyricist Aina More delivered a thought provoking performance on The Sirens which gives am indication of the strong quality of content which can be found on her mixtape It’s A W.R.A.P. Peep the video below and download a copy of her mixtape on www.ainamore.com
The hard-working Fecko dropped Chill & Relax and as the title suggests this has a laid back, feel good vibe.
Afrikaans is dood (dead). That’s according to South African rapper Jack Parow. Listen close and you might hear that’s not what he is saying at all:
Bamboo recently claimed he was going to release a new mixtape video every other Friday for his fans. Not one to go back on his word, the Kenyan artist delivers the first in the series this past Friday. It will be interesting to see if Bamboo can follow through on his promise over the coming months, in the meantime catch Chicks below – you may recognise the beat on this one:
That’s it for this week, hope you enjoyed it and see you next year!
